General Inspection of the pneumatic manoeuvring system: Two stroke basis

Complete function check of the following:

From the Emergency stand:

• Correct operation of all reversing cylinder including distributor

• Function test of start, stop and reversing pneumatic valves

• Stop Cylinder (when applicable)

• Check and adjustment of reversing timer

From Remote locations:

• Reversing, start and stop functions

• Check of speed setting signal

• Check of start dash signal to Governor (where applicable)

• Function check of Emergency shut down

• Check of slow down functions (Where applicable)

At the Engine:

• Function check of P-max / V.I.T. actuators

• Inspection of in – line air filters

• Inspection of high pressure valves at the starting air distributor

• Leak test of slow turning and starting valve actuators

• Identification of control system air leaks

• Visual inspection of all pneumatic valves and related piping and fittings

• Inspection of Bridge valve box and check of wiring integrity

• Function check of turning gear valve interlock

Follow up with report and further service recommendation:

• Further Service recommendations

• Spare parts list compilation
